The manufacturing process of powder metallurgy gears is roughly as follows:
1. Preparation of metal powder: According to the material requirements of the gear, prepare the corresponding metal powder.
2. Press molding: Metal powder is placed into a mold and pressure is applied to shape it into the shape of a gear.
3. Sintering: The pressed gear is sintered at high temperature to form a metallurgical bond between the internal metal powder particles, thereby obtaining a densified material with high strength and high hardness.
4. Post-processing: As needed, post-processing processes such as quenching, tempering, and surface treatment are performed to further improve the mechanical properties and service life of the gear.
