Gear Pump Gears High Transmission Efficiency Gear For Liquid Transport
Gear pump gear is an important part of gear pump products. When the driving gear rotates under the drive of the motor or internal combustion engine, it drives the driven gear to rotate together through meshing.
The working principle of gear pump gears
The gear pump consists of two gears, a pump body and front and rear covers to form two closed spaces. When the gears rotate, the volume of the space on the side where the gears are disengaged changes from small to large, forming a vacuum to suck in the liquid, and the volume of the space on the side where the gears are meshed changes from large to small, squeezing the liquid into the pipeline. The suction chamber and the discharge chamber are separated by the meshing line of the two gears.
The gear pump is a separate three-piece structure. The three pieces refer to the pump cover and the pump body. The pump body is equipped with a pair of gears with the same number of teeth, a width close to the pump body and meshing with each other. This pair of gears form a sealed chamber with the two end covers and the pump body, and the sealed chamber is divided into two parts by the gear tooth top and meshing line, namely the oil suction chamber and the oil pressure chamber. The two gears are fixed on the driving shaft and the driven shaft is supported by the needle bearing with keys, and the driving shaft is driven to rotate by the motor.

Gears in gear pumps often use a variety of tooth designs, such as spur gears, spiral gears, herringbone gears, and arc gears.
Advantages and disadvantages of gear pump gear tooth shape
The spur gear pump has a simple structure, but the vibration and noise are relatively large.
Spiral gear and herringbone gear pumps work smoothly and have uniform flow, but the structure is more complicated.
Double arc sinusoidal tooth shape has no relative sliding on the tooth profile surface during meshing, so there is no wear on the tooth surface, balanced operation, low noise, long life and high efficiency.
